VANCOUVER, BC – Mar 8th, 2010 — Following the close of entries for the Leo Awards 2010, the BC film and television awards program has received a total of 664 eligible entries, comprised of 115 program and 549 craft award entries.
“Once again we are pleasantly overwhelmed with the response to our Call for Entries” said Walter Daroshin, Leo Awards president. “There is so much quality work that takes place in this province on a regular basis. We are proud to celebrate the artistic excellence of British Columbians invested in film and television production.”
The number of eligible entries received for the Leo Awards 2010 will result in a total of 76 awards that will be handed out this year, including the annual Outstanding Achievement Award.
Adjudication for the Leo Awards will begin this week. Ernst & Young, Chartered Accountants, will once again tabulate the results to determine the nominees for the Leo Awards 2010. Nominees will be announced in early May and will be posted on the Leo Awards web site.
Leo Awards 2010 Call For Jurors Announced!
VANCOUVER, BC – Feb 24th, 2010 — The LEO AWARDS is now conducting a call for jurors to assist in the adjudication of
entry submissions for 2010. This call for jurors is made to individuals working in the British Columbia film and television industry.
Selection of jurors is subject to the approval of the LEO AWARDS jurors seletion team.
