Sonya Salomaa

Sonya is extremely excited to be hosting the Leo's this year not only because it is such a great party but because after recently having a child the chance to put on grown up clothes and get free drinks is like winning a million dollars. Sonya has been nominated four times and won two Leo's for her role on ‘The Collector’. She has also been seen doing her crosswords on many other sets over the last 10 years and is proud to make her home here in Vancouver with her husband and her baby boy.

Benjamin Arthur

Growing up, Benjamin loved programs like 'The Kids In The Hall'...now he gets to work with them. Mark McKinney hand picked him for the HBO Canada series 'Less Than Kind' and the role garnered Ben a Leo Award and Gemini Nomination in its first season. Benjamin plays an out of work actor who runs on bravado and ignorance, which he assures us is a stretch. He is also probably the smartest person he knows. Benjamin is both humbled and honored to be co-hosting the 2010 Leo Awards.

Ellie Harvie

Ellie Harvie is still here. In fact she is not leaving. She had hoped to move to LA and be a TV star but family, life and overall reality set in.

Now she gardens and plays the mother roles to young aspiring actors who think they'll be TV stars in LA. Ah the circle of life.

A Leo Award winner and 5 time nominee, Ellie is thrilled to host Friday night's gala for the 3rd (or is it 4th) time!!

Jacqueline Samuda

Jacqueline is a writer/director/actress and frequent juror, panelist and moderator for many film industry and awards panels. She is Past President of Pacific Cinémathèque and two-time Past President of Women in Film and Television Vancouver, on whose behalf she accepted a Leo for Outstanding Achievement in 2002.

Her voice-over career spans documentary series, multiple ongoing North American commercial campaigns and animation series and features. She lives in Vancouver with her husband Rob Riley and two young sons, Griffin and Christian.
