CHANNEL M DIVERSITY IN CULTURES AWARD
The LEO AWARDS and the Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Foundation of British Columbia are proud to announce the recipient of the 2008 Channel m Diversity in Cultures Award.
This award supports a documentary program intended to celebrate the richness of diversity experienced throughout the many cultures within British Columbia and carries a cash prize of $10,000.
This year’s recipient is ‘One Big Hapa Family’ by Jeff Chiba Stearns, which explores how children of mixed race families perceive their unique multicultural identities.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to our friends at Channel m for their generous support and sponsorship, and for helping us to meet our mandate of celebrating excellence in British Columbia film and television.
